Veylark · Data practices

Shipment data, explained clearly.

A practical overview of the shipment information Veylark handles, what an active public tracking link shows, and how to contact us about an export or deletion request.

Veylark has not published a fixed platform retention period for shipment data in its current materials. Tracking-link expiry controls public access; it does not mean a shipment record has been deleted.

01

Shipment information

Depending on the shipment and features an operator uses, Veylark records may include:

  • Shipment details

A shipment can include its reference, customer name, pickup and delivery locations, status, assigned vehicle, and dispatch position.

  • Custody and delivery events

Events can include recorded and captured times, barcode values, GPS coordinates, handoff or recipient notes, photo or signature references, delivery status, and exception notes.

  • Cold-chain details

When cold-chain tracking is used, a record can include sensor details, configured temperature thresholds and units, readings, and evaluation results.

  • Activity history

Shipment activity can record status and vehicle assignment changes, including the previous and new values and when the change was recorded.

02

What public tracking shows

While a tracking link is active, the public tracking view returns the shipment status and event types with their recorded times. It does not return the shipment's customer name, addresses, barcode values, evidence references, or temperature values. An expired or unavailable link cannot load that public view.

03

Retention and link expiry are different

Current Veylark materials do not publish a fixed retention period for shipment or custody records, or details about backup retention. We do not infer a record retention period from a tracking link's expiry setting.

Veylark's cold-chain guide says courier recordkeeping periods depend on cargo instructions, customer agreements, and applicable requirements. That guidance is about the courier's operational records; it does not set a Veylark platform retention schedule.

When a tracking link expires, it stops granting public access to the tracking view. That access limit does not establish that the underlying shipment or custody records have been deleted.

04 · Contact Veylark

Ask about an export or deletion

Use the existing contact form to submit a shipment-data export or deletion request. In your message, state which request you are making and include the account email and relevant shipment reference when applicable. Avoid sending patient or medical details or other sensitive shipment information in the initial message.

Go to the contact form

The form collects your name, email, and message. It is a way to submit a request, not a self-service export or deletion tool. Veylark has not published request processing steps or a completion timeline.
